Day 1: Trekking Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (L)
08h30 – 11h00: The trekking journey begins in the center of Sapa town and leads to Y Linh Ho Village – a peaceful hamlet nestled on the mountainside. Crossing a suspension bridge over a deep valley, travelers continue along narrow dirt paths winding through lush green terraced rice fields.
The vibrant natural scenery unfolds alongside the poetic Muong Hoa Stream, guiding your steps to Lao Chai Village – home to the Black H’Mong people. From here, the majestic Hoang Lien Son mountain range opens up before your eyes, like a breathtaking natural painting in the heart of Northwest Vietnam.
11h00 – 12h00: Stopping at a traditional Black H’Mong house, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the distinct rustic architecture and listen to cultural stories passed down through generations, offering deep insight into the life and spirit of the ethnic people in the highlands of Northwest Vietnam.
12h00: Experience local life by joining the people of Lao Chai Village in the kitchen, preparing traditional dishes with your own hands, and gathering around a rustic meal to enjoy a warm, flavorful highland lunch.
14h00: Continuing the trekking journey along winding trails through the mountains and forests, visitors arrive at Ta Van Village – home to the gentle Giay people. The peaceful scenery unfolds with simple stilt houses and cascading terraced fields, reflecting the unique cultural identity of the ethnic minority communities in the highlands.
16h00: At the end of the journey, a car will pick you up at Ta Van Bridge and take you back to the center of Sapa town.
The total trekking distance is approximately 11 kilometers, lasting around 4.5 hours – just enough time to immerse yourself in the nature, culture, and local life of the Northwest mountains.
